From July 3rd to July 5th, Metalworks Production Group was onsite providing professional sound, lighting and staging for the third consecutive year of Jazz on the Mountain at Blue, a jazz festival like no other.

Jazz on the Mountain at Blue boasts one hundred musicians, free local artist shows and The Master Classes that offer music students and fans the chance to hear how music is created from the ground up. Festival goers had the chance to enjoy world class music, while inside the heart of Blue Mountain Village, surrounded by the Niagara Escarpment and the exquisite shores of the Georgian Bay.

Our team was responsible for setting up an SL250 main stage with three onstage risers. For audio, we used a 24 box DvDosc sound system with eight SB218 subwoofers in a cardioid configuration. An 8-wedge mix monitor system with IEM’s was also used.

For lighting we used, a three-truss system with Martin Mac 700 Profiles and Wash, Martin Mac 250 Entours and Martin Mac 600 Wash. We also set up a secondary stage in the Events Plaza at Blue Mountain where we used powered speakers and a lighting package that consisted of 24 LED light fixtures.
