The 16th Annual Canadian Event Industry “Star” Awards Gala, a part of the Canadian Special Events and Marketing Expo took place from March 20 to March 22 this year. “The Canadian Event Industry Awards are the mark of achievement in the Canadian event and meeting industry.
In the past 15 years canadianspecialevents.com has handed out over 430 awards to Canadian producers, designers, chefs, entertainers, caterers, marketers and planners from every area of the industry.” The Most Outstanding Event for over $300,000 and Best Entertainment Production awards went to event producer extraordinaire POP Kollaborative for their staging of the “Moments” Scotiabank 100th Grey Cup Gala in November of 2012.
We're thrilled to be the production supplier chosen by POP. According to Sr. Production Manager Joanne Cochrane, “POP Kollaborative are brilliant innovators and a pleasure to work with.” This elaborate event took place right on the field at the Rogers Centre and saw first class entertainment by artists Chris Willis and Brad Mates and fine dining with world renowned chefs Mark McEwan and Rob Gentile.
The Best Event Produced for a High Profile Charitable Organization award was given to the 26th Annual Crystal Ball, which is hosted by Reach for the Rainbow each year in November. Event Producers Golden Productions selected one of our own Joanne Cochrane to provide sound, lighting, and staging services. Joanne stated, “working to bring the production elements together for the extremely talented producers at Golden involved great team work– just what you need in order to execute an extremely successful event.
